EDUCATION // For PArents + Teachers
As newlyweds, almost two years ago, Tyler and I had a sort of guess-and-check approach to budgeting. We tried different strategies to communicate and make budgets. We attempted to iron out the process of creating bank accounts, paying bills, and saving money.
I decided I should try to meditate. As someone who used to pray religiously every day, I realized that I was missing quiet and reflective moments to find peace in my hectic day. I was failing to reconnect with my mind and body, acknowledge shortcomings and establish goals .
Parents & teachers are coworkers. We don't work the same shift, but we pass by one another at the time clock each day. Punch in, punch out. One of us gets paid, one doesn't. We share the work: the huge responsibility of growing a human. Nurturing, disciplining, & loving.
